Delicate Bad Poppy

This is an original mixed media painting which is 16" x 20" x .75" on an unfinished pine wood backing. The back is cradled and ready to hang.

The sides are painted black so framing is not necessary.

The palette is just three colors. White, black and bright red.

This art piece began with a generous amount of wood glue and brown packing paper on the wood base to give it stiff ridges.

There are multiple layers of paint with plenty of drying time in between.

This gives the piece greater depth and interest.
